Have you ever made pizzelles? We are not Italian, but my mom makes tons every Christmas and gives out a lot as gifts. We followed her usual recipe (the one that came with the pizzelle iron 30 years ago) with simply substituting Bob's Red Mill GF flour and they tasty and wonderful as usual! We prefer them with vanilla extract, but many people like the anise flavor as well.

I just wanted to share this story - you don't need to enter me in the giveaway. I'm sure someone else would make better use of that particular cookbook than myself.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15028759316489397953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-10129743960979712652011-11-16T09:15:06.826-05:002011-11-16T09:15:06.826-05:00Sweet potatoes are hands down my favorite.Sweet potatoes are hands down my favorite.Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05856975629899818393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-65423034871605541842011-11-16T01:49:09.344-05:002011-11-16T01:49:09.344-05:00I think I would have to say the Pumpkin pie. First there is my mom's turkey and stuffing (carved by Dad), her own recipe for pumpkin pies (she likes them spiced), my cousin's homemade noodles for topping mashed potatoes, I make the rolls and pecan pies (recipe given to me at my bridal shower), my aunt's Waldorf salad, our friend's New England corn pudding (because she really is from New England) - but if you make me choose, it would be the pumpkin pies. My mother makes lots of them because we eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner for as long as they'll last. I've been known to hide the pie from the rest of my family so it lasts longer.

Ginny EAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-82988271284273208172011-11-14T22:46:17.648-05:002011-11-14T22:46:17.648-05:00I would have to go with sweet potatoes!
