I am just ready to transfer them from a cardboard box into an old cherry sideboard that I am re-purposing since we no longer have a dining room. I have taken off the hutch part and now I thing it will make a great surface for pictures and other things ... even some lace!Heather Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13563913535839786305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-18193884571153680502008-01-15T18:17:00.000-05:002008-01-15T18:17:00.000-05:00I LOVE the floral embroideries!I LOVE the floral embroideries!Darcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12661633527521636573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-50809911250478248442008-01-15T16:22:00.000-05:002008-01-15T16:22:00.000-05:00I enjoyed this post.On my dressing table I have a ...I enjoyed this post.

On my dressing table I have a three piece dressing table set that my mother embroidered in the 1950s. I think she sent away for the transfer from a magazine and it was to celebrate the present Queen's coronation - a design based on wild roses.

I agree with you its nice to know a little of the history behind these pieces.willowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05818659940895641160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-73810395790052150652008-01-15T11:52:00.000-05:002008-01-15T11:52:00.000-05:00A lovely collection of pictures! I haven't yet used it . .I look at it and put it back in the box. It seems so special to think she picked away with her yarn.Lovella ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/13870567090244361779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8695172414901267072.post-53133034790380479672008-01-14T18:50:00.000-05:002008-01-14T18:50:00.000-05:00What lovely things! What lovely things!Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07110475906348538090noreply@blogger.com
