The Tea Trolley

Last Friday the ladies of our congregation headed out to a beautiful house in the country for an overnight fellowship retreat. Two of us made sure that plenty of tea was brought along so that we could spend the weekend tasting all different kinds!

Check out the stash of loose leaf teas we had available!! I think there were about 20 different kinds. My favorite was a Cherry Green.

Very sadly, we lost a dear friend last week and the funeral was on Saturday. "Dad F" had lived a long and full life and was eager to meet his Savior and be reunited with his wife. He was particularly special to us because Michael's first home in Indianapolis was at the "F" home and thus our lives have been greatly influenced and touched by this family. These partings are never easy and our hearts ache for the family left behind.

After the funeral there was a luncheon for the family and friends and it was nice to be able to catch up a bit with members of the family we rarely see.

Late Saturday afternoon called for a pot of tea and a little rest, accompanied by a magazine and a book and some healthy munchies.

Midweek called for another few minutes next to the teapot, hoping to recover a bit of energy and strength to keep going! I didn't even have time to clean up my little table but closed my eyes to the mess and sat down.

If you want to link to any post you have created during the week that includes anything about tea or coffee or other hot drinks just link up with Mr. Linky below!

hi - did you ever try the tea from mighty leaf tea? they're really good - and the sachets are beautiful... i always use my tea bags 3 or 4 times - any thoughts on that? do you think it's bad to do so?
sorry for the loss of your friend.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost Dad F. But then you also shared about the tea tasting, and that does sound like a delicious way to retreat.

Thank you for making a tea linky available--I just happened to write about tea this week for Food on Fridays. We could each link up with the other! :)

May God give you a big pot of tea, and His peace.

Really sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It does seem to me that tea is a huge comfort at such times. I envy you an overnight fellowship retreat!

Yes! A friend has given me tea from mighty leaf -- decaf Earl Grey and it is amazing. I ration it out for special occasions and do re-use the teabag (since it is decaf it only works to reuse it once). as far as I know, there is nothing wrong with using tea over and over again as much as you like within a 24 hour period.
