Grandma was here for New Year's Day and in the afternoon we enjoyed the company of Auntie C and our good friend, Janet. I love this adorable snowman lamp that Janet brought -- perfect for this time of year!
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea while discussing books, knitting, and plans for the upcoming months.
I am pleased to say that my appetite has returned as well as my desire (and the energy) to do a bit more cooking! Yeah!!!! Here's a picture of a bread pudding I made -- it's such a great way to use up excess bread, milk, and eggs. I make it with just a little honey so it's not very sweet and can be eaten for breakfast or anytime of the day.
I do wish you all a happy new year and God's blessings on you and your families.

What a great way to spend a cold winter's day. So glad that your energy is returning and that you are getting to do these things that bring you joy. The bread pudding looks yum:)
Sounds like a delightful new years! I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling more energized!
I love your little snowman lamp! Its great that 2008 has bought you more energy & that you feel more like baking which you clearly enjoy. I've not had a bread and butter pudding for years -yours looks tasty & with only a little honey is fairly healthy I should think.
