Sunday, during Sunday dinner, we were treated to a visit by Mrs. Goldfinch.
She sat outside the dining room window, clinging to the sunflower stalk, giving not a thought to the huge gusts of wind that were blowing her every which way.
Strangely, she didn't seem frightened of us at all and persevered at her task for about 30 minutes!
Her goal was the sunflower seeds.
Isn't she so cute!!!
As you can see, the frost did the zinnias in.....
