Thinking Pink -- #3

Congratulations -- Emily found out yesterday that she is accepted to Occupational Therapy School! Yay! We are so happy for her. That called for celebration, in the form of this amazing pink and chocolate cake and a little party. The kids were so excited! :)

As for the cake, I cannot say enough about how ultimately delicious it was -- I had several bites. It's the kind of cake that I could be very, very tempted to highly indulge in: the moistest chocolate and the silkiest whipped cream made from real cream from the farm mixed with a little sugar and some sourcream. Chocolate-dipped cherries were the icing on the cake! ;)

That is gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. How did you ever have the heart to cut into that beauty? I think I need to take cooking lessons from you. :)

Congratulations Emily! That cake looks so yummy -- reminds me of Scotland desserts with cream on everything. I'm sure you had it with tea, and how well it fit into your pink theme. You should do green for next month. :>}

Congratulations to Emily! Heather - can you teach me how to make yummy cakes? I think mine always turn out to be dry and not moist and fudgy like I like!
