Awoke to Scottish summer weather -- rain-drenched sunshine and temps in the high 50's (F). Dressed in the coolest, festive clothing we could find. Morning church service and lunch at friends. Watching Laura enjoy ice-cream, hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies. Rest, tea, an inspiring book. Evening service and communion, chatting with friends. Pancakes for dinner. Reading and just a little knitting.
