Mondays are for Grace

"Yet she never looked blousy,
she was as fresh and consoling and cheerful to the eye
as a full-blown peony in the early morning."

I so agree with EG! My peonies are soon to pop! Can't wait!

Your peonies are always so lovely! We have 3 bushes on the side of our house that produce very light pink flowers. Unfortunately the heavy rains yesterday trampled them a bit and a bunch of petals are on the ground. :-( Happy Monday to you! (sjn821 on Rav)

OH that bouquet is just lovely! We had rain last night and wow... the roses and peonies were so heavy that it finished many of them.

Just so very, very beautiful. One of my young peonies has two buds, still tightly furled as we have been having such cold weather. The other has none, though it flowered last year, its first year after planting. And another peony has appeared as if by magic next to the fence, also without buds. Much to look forwards to in years to come!

I never read this, but I do love "A City of Bells".
