He's on the silver team, along with two teammates from last year:
Coach Anderson, who did such a great job with the boys last year, is the assistance coach this time around. We're all glad to have him!
Andrew's "Scottish blood" serves him well and he makes a good number of goals during the games.
Today is an idyllic Fall day. I'm not yet out enjoying it, but I hope to take a walk later down the wooded path.
The kids are in the bath after a round of haircuts. A chocolate cake is cooling on the counter, ready for the ganache icing and presentation later at my brother-in-law's 30th birthday.
The week has gone quite fast. With Homeschool group one morning a week, Bible Study on Thursday evening, soccer practice and games, and life in general, we are busy.
The light of summer is quickly fading away and suddenly I've noticed how early it's getting dark. It does encourage more nights dedicated to reading aloud to the children. Currently, we are on a Clara Barton kick and looking forward to Louisa May Alcott and perhaps Little Women. I can't wait to read that one again!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I'll have a picture of the chocolate cake next week! :)

He looks like a natural:) How fun.
Andrew looks like he is really enjoying soccer! We have three weeks left of soccer - it is such a fun sport for the children! Our Storyteller has a hard time staying on the field with his team, but he too is doing better this year! It is wonderful to see them working together as a team and enjoying these beautiful fall Saturday mornings!
Thanks for your encouragement! Always nice to hear from you. I know what you mean by life being busy. We have Church twice on Sunday, radio show Monday, Russian Tuesday, Song practice and prayer meeting Wednesday, swimming Thursday and it looks like we may be starting outreach with the children in this estate on Thursdays too! I try not to think too much about it all!!!
Cake sounds lovely. Sean and I just love chocolate cake.
The football photos look VERY cute. I have some of Sean when he played in the clubs... They are just so small at that age!
Sorry about that, my son's name came up instead of mine!
Perhaps you will leave a message on it for him? He would love that.
Ruth
