Today I'm participating in Creative Kitchens over at Reflective Ponderings.
First off, I thought I would share the Gingerbread Muffin recipe that I used the other day.
Yesterday I finally made good on an ambition of 12 years -- to visit one of the local health food stores. Just as Alaina mentioned several weeks ago, they have a nice selection of herbs and spices in bulk and I stocked up! What fun! Try to imagine the wonderful aromas wafting their way out of my brown bag: ground cardamom, ground cloves, garam masala, ground coriander, etc.
I also discovered a shelf with the Celestial Seasonings holiday teas on sale. I really love the Candy Cane Lane which is made out of decaf green tea with peppermint and vanilla.
There was a new one to try yesterday -- Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride. Opening the package, one is greeted with the most delightful sugar cookie smell. I think this tea is fast becoming another favorite. The thought just came to me -- it is slightly reminiscent of that scent that the Children's Museum uses in their pretend cookie baking room (ha ha ha!).
With gingerbread muffins, and one of these teas, you can have a very festive tea time sometime this month!
And now I'm off to try to work on my cards. :) Life seems busy at the moment.

thanks for your kind comment on our family photo - what a trail that was! It's the first one in 4 years! For shame!
Mmmm! Thanks for the muffin recipe Heather! I love anything gingerbread at this time of year! You tea selection looks wonderful! Always nice to have a fresh flavor to brew in the afternoon! I am totally off my water right now (a bad thing) because it is just too chilly to be appealing - but I think I am making up for it with tea - and right now I am partial to rhubarb creme! I need to start drinking my water again, but tea just seems so much nicer on these chilly afternoons!
We are hoping to have enough energy for the bulk store after co-op today - my spices need to be refreshed and some replenished. Bulk is the only way to go with spices since the bottles are so expensive!
Enjoy your day!
How come I can almost smell the muffins? Fab photo & writing as usual!
Thanks for sharing that recipe - I can't wait to try them! And I'm so glad you made it to the market - I can definitely imagine the yummy smells!
The muffins look good! You are busy! And happy birthday:)
