December 17
Slept in for some much-needed rest. Headed out with Andrew for our traditional Mommy-Andrew Christmas shopping (we have done this every year for probably 4 years and he is the only child with whom I regularly do this). Hoping to accomplish our lists in 3 hours but it took over 5. Hopped from store to store with a stop for lunch at Wendy's (more gluten-free options). Home by 4 and time to start in on the day's baking which included our family's traditional shortbread, which has been made by our family every Christmas for four generations at least. The minimum of housework done and then knitting.

Ooh shortbread! Do you have it at New Year's?
Your shopping tradition sounds fun. My daughter (soon 15) really hates shopping but I hope someday she might enjoy it just a bit more so we could do something like that together for fun.
