December 24, 2012

Too lazy to get up early and even too lazy to dive right into my work once I was up. Eventually I managed to plate cookies for our neighbors and even had to pull more out of the freezer and quickly decorate them. Then there was a list of food preparations for tomorrow, all the while the door busy with knocks, presents left, cookies given, children running to and fro with other children. A nice stop for coffee with one neighbor before heading out to visit an elderly member of the congregation with James and Laura. Then it was time to brave the cold and traipse around our street with our cookies. Fortunately, there were delicious leftovers for dinner and even cookies and mince pies with brandy butter for dessert. The children were tucked away in front of a movie and I headed to my closet to begin the wrapping. It is almost done, just 2 stockings worth of presents left to go. Then we will fill the stockings, contemplate picking up a bit, and, if we have the chance, relax a bit ourselves before heading to bed. Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
