Up early to get organized and to write a letter, school, began the Aeneid with the children (a children's version), found more eggs and toast for lunch, started out on a long shopping journey: dollar store, goodwill, joann fabrics, half price books, thrifty threads, trader joe's, costco, and aldi; stopped for necessary refreshment, had a bird drop on my head (great!), made it home in time to cook some dinner, read to kids, and then go shopping online.

it's good luck when a bird does that! or - at least that is what my parents used to tell us. the seagulls are a little unforgiving. a day out sounds nice. i am nearly done with chrismas on a budget this year!
